How to freeze green beans
Pick beans
Trim stems from beans and cut to desired size
In a large pot of boiling water submerge beans for 3 minutes
Immediately remove beans and submerge into ice water
Drain wellÂ
Transfer to freezer bags, 1 quart bags easily hold 1 lb. of beans
Freeze for up to 1 year
When ready to use steam frozen beans to desired tenderness, approximately 8 minutes.
